LEWISBORO

      The Town of Lewisboro is located about 18 miles north of White Plains, 40
miles north of mid-town Manhattan and is in the northeast section of Westchester
County.  Express trains to New York City average 55 minutes.  The town is in
close proximity to I-684, Saw Mill River Parkway and Merritt Parkway.  The population is approximately 16,000.
     Residents are drawn to Lewisboro by the woods, rural flavor of meadows, streams and and a serene country life.  Lewisboro's many lake communities,
offer carefree vacation living, with swimming, sailing and camping all available

     Lewisboro, the town, is comprised of six villages, or hamlets, Lewisboro Hamlet, South Salem, Goldens Bridge, Cross River, Waccabuc and Vista.  These

     The Katonah-Lewisboro school district serves Lewisboro with four elementary
schools, one middle school and one high school. The School District maintains full activity and interscholastic sports programs, music and art and physical education instruction is provided at all levels.
     Lewisboro offers bountiful opportunites for leisure activites.  With six major
lake communities: Lake Waccabuc, Truesdale Lake, Lake Katonah and Lake
Kitchawan and the Twin Lakes - Oscaleta and Rippowan - residents can take
full advantage of beaches, swimming, sailing, fishing and canoeing.  There are
three town parks that have ball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds and a swimming
