VILLAGE OF BRIARCLIFF MANOR

     The Village of Briarcliff Manor is located 12 miles north of White Plains and 34 miles north of mid-Manhattan.  A 44 minute scenic ride on the Hudson Division takes you to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.  It is primarily a residential community with a population of 7,700 and a charming
central business district.  The village offers suburban conveniences in a peaceful pastoral setting.
     Its mix of older homes and newer construction help to create a dynamic community for all ages and interests.  The spirit of civic involvment seems to capture everyone,  making the village feel like a closely knit family.
     Situated, in the heart of Washington Irving's famed Sleepy Hollow, this area of the Hudson Valley is steeped in history.  The charm of Briarcliff Manor is highlighted by its appealing setting high above the Hudson River and is accented by its friendly residents. 
     Briarcliff Manor's children attend two outstanding school districts.  Approximately two-thirds go to Briarcliff Manor School which is comprised of one elementary school, a middle school and one high school.  About 98%
of each graduating class pursues higher education, with 90% attending four
year colleges.  One-third of Briarcliff students attend the Ossining School
District which is comprised of three elementary schools, a special education school, a middle school and one high school where 91% of the 
graduates pursue higher education.  There is also a campus of Pace University located off Elm Road.
     The village operates over 172 acres of parkland and has a year-round recreation program for children and adults.  Summer day camp is offered at the town park for preschoolers through 8th-graders, and the extensive recreation department includes a large swimming pool, snack bar, ten tennis courts and 2 paddle tennis courts.
     There are two Golf Courses: Sleepy Hollow and Trump National.
