Katonah with it's unique New England village, outdoor and cultural activities is one of three hamlets within the Town of Bedford. The villagers with their sense of community enjoy the diversity of meadows, horse farms, bucolic estates and family neighborhoods. Bedford and Bedford Hills, the other two hamlets are small and charming almost a step back in time. The community often referred to as the "Gateway to New England." The Village Green on the National Historic Site, is in the heart of Bedford Village. The 1829 one-room school house and the 1787 courthouse make this village an unspoiled center of activity combining homes, churches and shops. A horse lovers paradise with more than sixty miles of trails and commuters to New York City can use the Bedford Hills , Katonah or Mount Kisco train stations.
Lewisboro, the town, six villages or hamlets, Lewisboro, hamlet, South Salem, Golden's Bridge, Cross River, Waccabuc & Vista. These five villages are individual in character and melded by their residents diverse in personality yet cohesive in their sense of community. Mount Kisco, it's small town feel with Neo-colonial buildings draws people from all over Westchester for shopping, restaurants and movies. North Salem, this lovely corner of the county covers 22 sq. miles with it's rural feeling and open space is relaxed and countrified. Pound Ridge located at the Ct., border of Westchester County offers a unique setting is a community for those who enjoy small town life and nature.
